Antique Cuckoo Clocks
While the majority of antique cuckoo clocks are from Germany’s Black Forest, there are also some clocks that were manufactured in Holland, America and other countries. Most collectors will probably prefer the German clocks, but don’t discount the others as you may find something unique for your cuckoo clock collection.
Some of the more elaborate designs for cuckoo clocks include the chalet styles. Often, cuckoo clocks are designed in the shape of a Black Forest chalet. These clocks would have more animated figurines and various focal points as the top of the hour strikes down. You’ll find many such clocks available on auction.
